Activities in the Resort
Rajasthani Folk and Puppet Shows
The Resort features a Puppet Show and Rajasthani ‘Bhopa’ music every evening which can be enjoyed along with a roaring bonfire and barbecue. Thematic folk arrangements can be organized on prior requests.
Vintage Cars
A fleet of Vintage Cars, owned by the Desert Resort is parked in its premises and is available for short rides in the vicinity of the Resort.
Horse Rides and Stables
Escorted rides are available on well groomed Horses, dressed in the in-house stables of the Resort. Longer multiple day Horse Safaris are also organized on prior request by a group of guests.
Local Art and Craft
‘Mandana’ and ‘Leppai’ and other village crafts are performed by local women artisans at the Resort and can be viewed and also learnt by the guests.
Resort’s Dairy
The Desert Resort owns its dairy farm where guests can view and learn the traditional techniques of the cows being milked.
Oasis and Farms
A silent and peaceful walk around the Oasis and the Farms in the resort premises is a treat in the local terrains and its habitat. Flocks of migratory birds are attracted by the oasis irrigated by recycled water whereas the Farm is a huge highlight catering to the vegetable and pulse requirements of the Resort.

Tal Chappar Sanctuary
About 70 Kms away from Mandawa is ‘Tal Chappar’ – a sanctuary which is a refuge to the most elegant antelope encountered in India – The Black Buck. This open grassland consists of the largest population of Black Bucks and an excellent habitat for animals like Blue Bulls, Desert Cats, Foxes, Cinkaras and a variety of migratory birds.
